What the API does
One integration turns cross-border selling from a department's worth of admin into a line item. The endpoints are deliberately small; the responsibility they transfer is large.
On every sale:
- lernaura becomes the seller — create a checkout or charge and lernaura is legally the seller: the invoice is ours to issue and the tax is ours to collect and file, in the buyer's country, every time.
- Tax, done — not handed back — rates resolved from the buyer's location and status at sale time; collected, filed and remitted by us. Nothing lands back in your inbox as a calculation you still have to act on.
- Billing your customers' way — cards, wallets and local payment methods, or classic invoice-based billing for B2B — subscriptions and renewals running either way.
- Disputes & recovery — failed payments retried and recovered, chargebacks fought with evidence, refunds handled tax-correctly — with status surfaced over webhooks so your app always knows.
- Payouts & ledger — money in your bank, in your currency, weekly or monthly, in 6 currencies. One line per payout, and a ledger that ties every payout to its transactions.
It's the same engine that runs lernaura Creator in production today — proven on real sales, not a separate beta.
How integration works
A small, conventional REST surface — if you've integrated a payment provider before, this will feel familiar. The difference is what stops being your problem after the charge.

- Create products and prices, or pass them inline at checkout-creation time.
- Create a checkout session (hosted) or a charge (API-direct) — the right tax and payment methods appear for the buyer automatically.
- Listen to webhooks for payment, refund, dispute and subscription lifecycle events — then prove it hard: the sandbox's virtual clock and simulated payments fast-forward a year of renewals, upgrades, failed cards and disputes in minutes.
- Go live: claim the sandbox account, verify your business in a single session, and get paid — one clean payout in your currency, one number for your accountant.
What we own, what you keep
lernaura owns:
- The seller-of-record role and the legal invoice to the buyer.
- Tax — calculated, collected and filed in the buyer's country, every time.

- Settlement, payouts and the ledger that ties every payout to its transactions.
You keep:

Pricing
5% + €0.50 per sale, all-in — payment processing, tax, invoicing, disputes and payouts included, same rate at any scale. No setup fee, no platform fee, no minimums. We only earn when you sell.

- Is it really the same price as the hosted platform?
- Yes. 5% + €0.50 per sale in both — lernaura Creator is one front-end onto the same engine; the API is another. Same rate, all-in, at any scale.
- Do I bring my own payment processor?
- No. Payment processing is part of being your merchant of record — that's how the tax and the liability transfer cleanly. The charge is legally ours, your buyer sees your brand, and you get one clean payout.
- When can I integrate?
